From Maine and the Atlantic Provinces

From I-95, take the Wells Exit and take a right at the end of the exit ramp onto Rt. 109. Shortly you'll come to Rt. 9.

Turn left on Rt. 9 toward North Berwick; follow it for about 6 1/2 miles until you come to North Berwick. Note: In both North and South Berwick and Dover the speed limits are rather low approaching and exiting town, and you risk getting a ticket if you go as fast as might seem comfortable.

In North Berwick take a left at the light. You're still on Rt. 9, but now stay on Maine Rt. 4 which you've joined; Rt. 9 branches off toward Berwick shortly. Continue another 6 1/2 miles until you reach South Berwick.

In South Berwick you come to a T intersection. Take a left; you're still on Rt. 4. Stay on Rt. 4 bearing to the right at the intersection with Rt. 236 and you'll get to the New Hampshire State Line; you're now on NH Rt. 4. From there it's about 4 miles to downtown Dover.

As you come in to town you'll pass the Dover Ice Arena and Outdoor Pool on your right.  When the road forks, bear left down a hill.

At the end of the street you will be come to a one-way road. You will be facing a large mill building across the street.  Turn right and get into the far left lane as you want to be in a position to reverse direction at the top of the hill.  Note: It's best not to turn until you can get into the far left lane right away.

At the first set of lights, bear left and get onto the main street; get into the right laneNote: Again, it's best not to turn until you can get into the right lane right away.

You'll pass through downtown Dover, and go across the Cocheco River.  At the set of lights at the next intersection, go straight through the lights and City Hall will be on your right almost immediately.

There is parking on the street or behind the building from the Hale Street side.  Hale Street is the road on the right just before the building.

See note above for other parking alternatives.
